Banana Way, Ko Lanta

Best food, best host! Banana gives you a feeling of home in a relaxt way. The food is delicious, we ordered multiple dishes to share and they where all good. Really recommend this family place :)

My 15yr old Son spotted this cheerful restaurant whilst walking along and decided we should have dinner there. This resulted in us unfailably having dinner at Banana Way, every single night of our 8 day stay. Cheerful, great fresh Thai food, always prepared with passion and love to make the clients happy. Here you are sure to understand and appreciate the authenticity of the great Thai cuisine. We ate the best fried rice, pork ear soup, fish with fried greens, tofu and egg noodle soup, chicken and basil, fried chicken with cashew nuts, papaya salad and so many other typical dishes. Sometimes you might even be fortunate to sample some of the dishes cooked in Northern Thailand, the place of birth of the owner herself. The prices are superb and we definitely got the best value for our money.This is one of the locally owned Thai eateries that sells alcohol too. So we could always enjoy a good drink or two from the variety of spirits offered. Banana is a great hostess, uplifting, always varied our menu, speaks great English and become the friend, we looked forward to spending the evening with. The atmosphere is comfortable, light, inviting you to chill and relax after a day in the Thai hot sun. As a bonus we got quite a few tips of where and when we should visit the various spots of interest and beauty in Ko Lanta, since Banana has also been a guide herself. So make sure to check in to Banana Way when staying in Ko Lanta. You will surely come out smiling and pleased.

Very sweet owner who instantly connected on a personal level with the guests, excellent small talk. All foods are available in vegan. Excellent meals, fresh, spicey, thai or everything else. The location is on the street across from the Klong Khong beach in a relaxing wooden house. It's a shame I couldn't try out more meals, I had the green curry with tofu which was excellent! The portion was just right and the taste was delicious. Spread some love for this restaurant!!

We enjoyed three times the delicious food and relaxed atmosphere. By far the best Tom Kaa Gai we have ever had! Our Baby enjoyed the lovely dog „Koon“ Great place!!

Went here for lunch with my friend. I had the garlic bread with cheese which was very good, as well as fried noodles with soy sauce, which was fresh and delicious! Vegetables were cooked al dente the way they’re supposed to be in a stir fry and the sauce was also good. My friend had the masaman curry with chicken, and said that the chicken was better here than at the other places. Really friendly atmosphere here, and love the dogs and cats!

We visited Banana way on our last night and wished we had spotted it before. Staff are so welcoming and create the perfect atmosphere to kick back and relax. We had some amazing fresh seafood, chicken cooked on the BBQ and given as much as we could eat! Can honestly say this place did some of the best fresh fruit cocktails we have tasted. They also have some cute cats just lounging which I loved. Will definitely be back when we revisit Ko Lanta.

The location of this restaurant is wrong in trip advisor map (correct in google though) hence we couldn’t see it when filtered ”close by”. This restaurant is located about 50 m north of ”three sisters”. We happened to drop into this restaurant on the way to ”three sisters” and we are happy we did . The road outside is under construction so you may not feel too welcoming from outside but once inside the atmosphere is cosy and the personnel very cool and friendly. The food experience we had during our 2 visits so far at this restaurant has been unique. The owner ”banana” is fantastically friendly and willing to introduce to food from her home district other than the well known soups and curries found everywhere. I strongly recommend steamed or grilled fresh fish with their great fish sauce and lots of herbs and vegetables they serve on the side. The hotpot with lots of fresh vegetables and different meat and sea food for at least 2 persons was also a culinary experience. They have very good drinks as well. Try their mojito, strawberry Daquiri. They are very flexible with preparing the food the way you wish. Specially for small kids they make delicious simple food. If you are looking for a special experience in Ko Lanta visit this restaurant and ask banana to recommend you something.

A great informal restaurant with fabulous food. One of the dishes we had was a morning glory dish with chicken and prawns that were fabulous. Banana, the owner, is lovely and speaks Englander.
