Best meal in Thailand!

We went here to experience our first Khao Soon as we had read the reviews and my gosh it didn't disappoint. We both had the beef and it was delicious. So much flavour and meat literally melted in your mouth. Me and my partner both agreed after 3 weeks in Thailand this was our favourite meal by far so far. Not sure if I will appreciate another Khao Soon in the same way! Luckily we were staying close to this at the BMP, but it is quite far from the center. But I would say it's definitely worth the trip!

i kid you not. It is the first Khao Soi we had on our 19days trip but also the BEST one we had. Every other Khao Soi we tried could not come close even. The broth is so flavourful, meat so tender, noodle chewy; thinking of it alone makes me drool. There is Chicken, Beef or a combi of both for the meat choices. The dry chilli concoction available on the table is da bomb! There isn't any english words on the "menu" but luckily there was a tall man who spoke simple English who were able to help us. The place was empty when we first enter but more locals came as we savour the food. When they ask what we would like to drink, we asked if fresh coconut was available. They apologised for the lack of it and inform us that we can get it from the market behind. We said its okay and continue to wait for our Khao Soi to be served. As we stuff our face silly with the delicious Khao Soi, the tall man approaches us with 5 fresh coconuts! He had went to the market to buy them and bring it back for us! It really touches our heart experiencing the warmth from local Thai community :') It may not be near where we stay but the food & people is well worth the journey!

Best value for the best khao soi!

This place is under a very hot tin roof, but dont let that keep you from visiting. The heat is absolutely worth it. The gentleman who took our order seemed very proud of the food. That is always a good sign. We ordered the beef khao soi. Absolutely delicious! The beef was so tender and the flavors are very well balanced. Highly recommend!

Hidden gem

Best Khao Soi we had this trip (and we had a lot). Loong Prakid is a kindly old man, who has clearly spent decades honing his craft. And oh my, the broth was intensely flavourful - sweet, savoury, and a good amount of spicy. The boiled noodles were refined and had a nice bite, and the deep fried ones were crispy and tasty. The beef chunks was tender (mostly tendon), perfectly cooked and generous in amount. Each serving is large enough for two, but it’s so good that you won’t regret having one bowl - heck, two - all to yourself. Location-wise, this stall is a little out of the way, and hard to find. It isn’t really catered to tourists (you’ll find barely any English), but that’s how I like my food finds. Once you’ve tried this, the other tourist favourites like Kao Soy Nimman and Khao Soi Khun Yai will pale in comparison.

Please DO NOT miss it!

Wow.. we found this place in a top 5 Khao Soi list and we had to try it. It's an unassuming and unpretentious place in a small road (accessible by Grab). But the Khao Soi here was simply INCREDIBLE! Totally surprised how good it was. The broth had layers of flavour, the beef was oh-so tender and noodles were cooked to perfection. 50 Bahts of awesomeness! If you want to try Khao Soi, please try this place

One of the best meals

The beef khao soi was delicious. It had so many different flavours all of which complemented eachother. Although this restaurant's interior is very basic the Khao soi was incredible. The only fault was the beef wasn't the best quality and was quite fatty. It was only 100baht (about Β£2.50) for two large bowls of beef khao soi. It was about a 20 to 30 minute walk from Chiang Mai centre. It was a bit difficult to find as there is no English signage and our map suggested we needed to get to it from Suriyawong road but it was actually on Suriyawong alley. I'm glad we asked someone for directions as this meal was lovely. We were immediately to shown to a table and our food was served quickly. It was fairly busy but I was surprised it wasn't busier after being featured on Mark Weins' YouTube channel.
