Insanely good! Best German food outside Germany!!

I visited Patong just a few weeks ago and stumbled across May's Restaurant. Hidden in a side street off the second line from the beach May's offered a variety of not just German foods but also some authentic Thai dishes. Considering the location Patong, May's has very friendly prices, affordable for any visitor. I have tried many Germany dishes but also Thai and was never let down by these guys. Walk-in a stranger, leave as a friend. Detlev and May are amazing. They come over, talk to you and make sure you have an amazing experience. See you again guys...

Best Thai and German food in Patong

When you like to try spicy Thai food as Fried Penang with rice it is as good as it comes. Tom Yam Goong with shrimp also spicy and it is also as good as it comes. Same with Tom Kha Kai. Then you always have someone in your family who does Not want to try either spicy food or Thai food. May’s restaurant serves the best wienerschnitzel plane or with peppersauce or with mushroomsauce. You can get fried potato, mashed potato, boiled potato or french fries to your wienerschnitzel. Thet got different german sausages and everyrhing rasets very good. It is really worth visiting and it is located next to Deevana Resort and Spa.

Great dinner tonight in Patong at May’s restaurant

We stayed at the Daveena Patong right after the tsunami and this restaurant was right next door. We used to come up from the beach and have a cold beer before heading to our room. We would never have found it had we not stayed at the Deevanapatong since it’s off the Main Street. We decided to go back there on our current visit and oh my what a surprise. It’s been fully refurbished and is spotlessly clean, bathroom included. We went yesterday just for drinks and decided to go back today for dinner. It was really good. I had cashew with chicken and steamed rice which was not too sticky at all. The stir fry was excellent flavour with some heat which I liked. My husband had the bratwurst sausage, fries and sauerkraut which he said he would definitely order again. They even brought hot mustard from Germany as an accompaniment. We had 3 SAN Mig light beers and a glass of white wine and the bill was an incredible 725 baht. Amazing given 4 drinks. Service was good with lots of smiles. I’m pretty sure the owner also owns the BVarian bar next door but could be wrong. They also rent motorcycles. Can’t. Ouch for that but the drinks and food were very good and extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back.
