Plaiy Fon Valley

Extended family group (9) stayed for 3 nights booked via Agoda from the UK for ~£75 per night. We used it as a base to explore the national park area. Large beautifully maintained house. Central living area, 3 double and one triple bedrooms all en-suite. Large veranda. Full use of the kitchen. Note: it’s raised above the ground level and there there are stairs up to it. No ground level access. Our room had an electric shower which took the chill off the water. Each room has air on, the main living area fans. All very comfortable. The owner is a lovely lady who couldn’t do enough for us. She provided endless old bottled water and various snacks from the market. She doesn’t speak English (we had a Thai speaker with us) but have found in Thailand that google translate works well. It should be noted that she lives in one of the bedrooms (away from the main living area) but keeps out of the way. Note: it is slightly remote. About 1.5 miles to the nearest shop down a dirt drive. You will need transport. The Sixth Nature is sign posted of the main road and its next to that at the end of the road. Another marker is the Australian Village, it’s the turning before that (if the village is on your left). It worked well for us and I have no hesitation in recommending it. …
