Sky & Sea, Mai Khao

This is one of the best places to visit and enjoy a meal with second to none service. Great prices and food to die for. Go if you have the chance

This place is the last restaurant on the row but might be the best. The staff is super nice and the food is delicious! They also take credit cards and do currency exhange. The food is totally worth the few extra steps past the other places.

Some of the nicest food I've ever eaten and as a fat bloke I've eaten plenty. We had the crab with black pepper and chilli, deep fried fish, mussels with chilli, broccoli, pineapple rice. Beautiful food, so fresh, all cooked to order. Amazing balance of flavours out of this world and such wonderful staff and service

At first, we hesitated...On a dirt road, nestled between a string of local restaurants, we came across Sky & Sea. We sat and politely ordered a few dishes from the friendly waitress. But, at our first chance, we stuck up a conversation with the only other patrons as they were finished up and about to leave, to ask their opinion of the place. They raved about the food and said they had tried the neighboring restaurants, but always came back to this one for the quality of the dishes and friendly service. We were also entirely happy with the food and the genuinely kind, personable service. So much so, that we had no desire to go anywhere else the rest of our trip. We learned that our Thai waitress, Beau, owns the restaurant with her Chinese husband, and the charming attentive waiter is called, "Uncle". Ahh, the food. Lovely, presentation, fresh ingredients, and a lot of plump sweet shrimp. Their Thai Spring Rolls are freshly made and served with sweet chili sauce. We asked Beau to make us food in the local style. She knew I liked shrimp, so she made a curry with shrimp and rice that was just the right level of heat for our California palates. I tried to remember to take photos before we dove into our food, but we sometimes would forget. If the plate looks messy, it means we couldn't wait! Our last evening here, we shared lots of smiles, hugs, and photos. Sky & Sea raised our traveling experience to a beautifully memorable level. We look forward to returning to our new friends.
